The lady at reception was alot friendlier than the last lady I had a year ago.
There isn't sky t.v. the shower was basic and the t.v sounds muffled
Within easy walking distance to cafes and shopping.
The Unit was comfortable, close to the City we could walk to the Cafes. Gary & Karen are great Hosts they are friendly and accommodating. This is our second stay and we would use the Durham in the future.
Managhers were very friendly and helpful. Motel was quiet. Room was clwean and modern
The proximity to town, shops and eateries and the friendliness of the staff. In some cases they anticipated needs before being asked.
The car parking was very tight.
Friendly and welcoming staff, always happy to help and give advice.
Nice and handy to evrything
Very poor TV chanel selection
A nice, tidy modern unit.
I was postioned next to the owners house (Room 21) and I noticed that doors were slammed particularily hard eavery night and early morning. So hard the walls would shake. As I am a Christchurch person my earthquake nerves are not the best! If I stayed again I would ask for a more private room away from the owners house.
The meeting room that I used for a presentation was well apointed.
Convenient location, very friendly and welcoming staff, comfortable room
1. Closeness to The Strand and shops. 2. Easy access to the motorway, to the Mount and to the Airport
Very conventional where as I expected more upmarket based on the promotional literature on the website. ( I can be a bit too trusting though and a bit naive! ). Just a wee bit disappointed.
The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable.
I would be very reluctant to stay here again unless I had earplugs!! The noice from passing traffic, emergency vehicles and drunken revellers kept me awake all night
The location was great and we enjoyed the large spa bath
The bed was not comfortable as it was very sensitive to movement and we both had trouble sleeping in it. The noise from the waterfront celebratins was a little annoying but this was not the fault of the hotel. We would have enjoyed watching the game on a larger flat screen TV, the one in our room was very old and a little small.
Easy walk to Strand or resteraunts
Some inexpensive fittings eg Bed side light $69 would make a huge difference. The Bed making was not correct as it exposed the underblanket --Briscoes would fix this inexpensive and you need new sheets.
Location was good as I had a few handy clients.
The staff were not very friendly given I could be a regular visitor.
